Custom Boards for Drag Lotería in Chicago

We recently had the joy of collaborating with Drag Loteria, a one-of-a-kind event bringing together queens, music, and the timeless tradition of Lotería. For this project, it was important to create a set that felt unique and modern while still honoring the spirit of the original designs.

To make this set truly special, we worked closely with the Drag Loteria team to incorporate real performers into the cards:

• La Sirena, inspired by Valentine Addams, reimagined with a dramatic mermaid tail

• La Dama, featuring the elegance of The Lady Ivory

• El Músico, celebrating DJ Boy Alberto

For the rest of the images, we used a modern watercolor theme throughout the set, handpicking illustrations that best worked with the design. These choices gave the set a personal, Chicago flair while keeping the game familiar, vibrant, and unforgettable.
